Our wrestling team is off to a 3-0 league record. We will host the Cougars for the league title next week. 

Varsity basketball will host SSHS Tuesday 1/28. This night is also senior night for our boys basketball team and cheer team. 

Girls Soccer is one win away from going to the State Tourney!!

Congratulations to our Boys Cross-Country team for winning the Regional Title!! The last time our boys XC team won regionals was 25 years ago. Way to go!!

Highlights of the fall season up to this point...9/20/2018:

Girls Soccer knocks off the undefeated McQueen Lancers 1-0.
Girls XC has yet to be beaten.
Boys Soccer is 5-2.
Boys Tennis is 5-2.
Girls Golf is 2nd in the HDL.
Girls JV Soccer is undefeated.
JV Volleyball is undefeated.
Freshman football is undefeated. 
Boys XC is 2nd in the HDL.

Week 1 of the fall season is here...

Freshman Football held tough on the goal line as they got the win Vs. Manogue 39-38.

JV Football had two costly turnovers vs. Manogue and lost 18-9.

Girls and Boys Tennis competed with Manogue losing 11-7 in both matches. These matches were very close and could have very well ended up 9-9.  

Boys and Girls Soccer are in South Lake this weekend competing in the South Tahoe Invitational. Boys and girls Varsity played tough against Coronado, LV losing 3-1.

30 days from today the fall sports season begins (Aug. 11). To participate on a fall team you must be registered on and have your $75 fees paid to Cindy McDaniels in the main office by Aug 10th. Some registrations take 3 weeks or so. Don't procrastinate.

Please register for sports at after May 15th. Do this prior to the school year you are registering for. Register for any and all sports you "may" go out for. Its better to register early and not go out for a team than it is to register late.

Reed athletics is proud to announce Evan Brown as our new Head Boy's Tennis Coach. Evan is a Sparks resident, however, born and raised in New York. He brings with him 25+ years of tennis experience. Evan was fortunate to grow up attending the U.S. Open, was a successful college tennis player (player of the year as a freshman), and now is a full-time tennis professional for the City of Sparks. We look forward to Evan continuing to build a successful boy's tennis program here at Reed HS. Welcome Evan. We are very glad to have you on board!!

Congratulations to our Unified Sports basketball team's.

In our 2nd Annual Reed vs. Raiders game the Reed team came out on top 25-18 in front of a packed house! Point guard Jaylin Reaves led the Reed team with 13 points (3 for 5 from three). Carson Apostolico led the Raider team with 9 points (1 for 2 from three). Congratulations to all of the players who played in this year's game. Raider Nation had an amazing time watching the game.

​Izzy Casarez (wrestling) caps his career with 4 regional championships and back to back state championships. Raider Nation is proud of he and Coach Klapp! Izzy Casarez will go down as one of the best wrestlers in Nevada state history.  

​Congratulations to Tim Eubanks for finishing fourth at state in his weight class. These two outstanding young men have done a great job leading our wrestling program.

Reed Athletics would like to welcome two new members to our blue and gold family. Head Coach Ward Sutton will lead our boy's golf team and Head Coach Paula Edmonds will lead our cheer program. We are very lucky to have these two join our Raider team!

Anthony Ocegueda broke the UNR Twilight course record this past Friday night. The record was from 2011 and he smashed it by 5 seconds - he ran a 12:44 for the 2.5 course.

Anthony and Samantha King-Shaw won the senior class races (boys and girls divisions) at the Douglas Class Race on 8/26- they are both on fire!
